Graduating with a first class graphic design degree in 2011 I have been fortunate enough to work for a number of prestigious brands, in both a studio environment and on a freelance basis. Brands include ESPA, Illamasqua, Eyeko, and Mama Mio.
Working in a senior / lead role, my skillset includes art direction, creative concepting, art working, digital design and branding. From the initial creative concepts, leading presentations to clients, pulling together model casting briefs, art-directing photoshoots and creation of brand guidelines, I am comfortable and confident to take tackle all aspects of a creative brief.
In 2015 alongside my design work I also founded and launched a small cruelty-free beauty business inspired by my puppy Pip. The business grew exponentially over the next 4 years, and was featured in the likes of ELLE magazine, Cosmopolitan and The Independent.  A couple of years in, I tasked myself with creating a cruelty-free beauty advent calendar which was a complete sell-out, with a feature on ITV’s This Morning, unboxed by Holly and Phill, and a feature on Chris Moyles Radio X show (my art-working skills really came into play when creating the calendar net!), my business also won a small business award, hosted and awarded by Theo Paphitis.
After 5 years I was ready for a new adventure and the business was sold in 2020 to an investor allowing me to dabble in a new hobby which has always been an interest of mine - property development. I'm currently on house renovation number 3 and I'm often spotted out and about in my steel-toe boots on the weekends.
My design career was started in London, were I was lucky enough to secure internships at 7 different agencies such as The Partners. My first junior role was at a small agency in Chester, based predominantly in print design. Itchy feet and a passion for tech resulted in a move to a digital design role were I became Creative Lead looking after a small design team and working closely with the developers designing multiple websites.
I currently work part-time at The Hut Group in their beauty division as Senior Creative Designer and Art Director, and I also have a steady stream of small independent freelance clients in and around the North West.
I am located in Chester and currently seeking a new challenge, open to senior / lead design job opportunities - both permanent and on a freelance basis, part-time or full time.
Software capabilities include Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma.
